核桃壳是一种经破碎、筛选等处理加工过的颗粒状，表面多微孔、吸附效果较好的滤料及抛光磨料。
核桃壳滤料硬度高、耐磨损、抗压性好，抗压力为23.4KgF，化学性能稳定，不在酸碱中溶解，吸附截污能力强，吸附率为27—50%，亲水性好抗油浸，比重g/cm31.25,略大于水，充填比重为0.85g/ cm3，易反洗再生，与其它滤料相比，它的优点在于直接采用滤水前反洗，运行成本低，反冲洗强度低，（6.71/S. m2），滤速快（24—26/n）效果好。对油田含油水处理效果显著，油去除达95%，含油降至5mg/l以下。
核桃壳磨料是一种自然的抛光材料、用它做磨料不会破坏工件表面，抛光效果好。具有优良的耐磨性能，均匀的粒度，高的壳含量。核桃壳抛光材料主要应用与眼镜配件、珍珠首饰、纽扣、电子件、冲压件、等行业的抛光去毛刺。抗压能力强粒径为1.25-1.60mm的核桃壳粒，平均抗压极限为0.2295KN(23.40kgf)。粒径为0.80-1.00mm的核桃壳粒，平均抗压极限为0.165KN(16.84kgf)。
产品用途：
1、油田含油污水处理：去油和悬浮固体。
2、工业含油工业水处理：去油和悬浮固体。
3、民用水和工业用水处理：去除水中悬浮固体，提高水质。
4. 汽车坐垫填充。
5. 磨料（珍珠首饰、眼镜配件、纽扣、电子件、冲压件、五金工具）抛光。
6.果壳粉(皂液、洗手液)填充等。
